Leaked Audio Of LeBron James And Stephen Curry’s Conversation About Team USA Goes Viral: “Nobody Is Going To Stop Us”

Leaked audio of LeBron James and Stephen Curry talking about Team USA has gone viral.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry were all smiles after their preseason game on Saturday and now, it appears we have audio of what exactly the two were talking about, which was Team USA.

LeBron James: “You’re (Curry) gonna need a gold medal.”

Stephen Curry: “Nobody is going to stop us.”

Stephen Curry: “Aye, we’re not gonna need him (Anthony Davis).

Well, I am no professional lip-reader like this account claims to be, but it certainly did seem like Curry was saying they don’t even need Anthony Davis. He is probably right about that too.

LeBron and Curry on the same team would be more than enough to handily beat almost every other nation that will take part in the 2024 Olympics. Add in the likes of Joel Embiiid, who recently committed, and Kevin Durant, and you really don’t need Davis to go all the way.

The aforementioned stars aren’t the only ones who have expressed a desire to participate either, and we have put together a realistic Team USA for the 2024 Olympic Games. The only thing missing from Curry’s resume is an Olympic gold medal, and as things stand, he’s going to get it next year.

Team USA Is Going To Be Spoilt For Choice

At this point, the list of players who have declared that they are interested is ridiculously long. Some of the notable names are Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Donovan Mitchell, Draymond Green, Zion Williamson, Jaylen Brown, DeMar DeRozan, and Zach LaVine.

Team USA is also aggressively recruiting Jrue Holiday to play in the 2024 Olympics, and I could honestly keep going with the big names who are in the mix. The problem, of course, is that there are only 12 spots on the roster.

It has led to us getting to the point, where some of the All-Stars who announced their intention to play for Team USA won’t receive invitations. I almost feel as if saying they are spoilt for choice is an understatement. When you can afford to leave out some of the names I mentioned there, it speaks to just how strong the team is going to be.

Does Anyone Have A Shot At Beating The U.S. Superteam?

The U.S. failed to even win a medal at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, and I can safely say a repeat of that at the Olympics is not going to happen. Considering how star-studded the roster is going to be, the chances of anyone beating Team USA seem next to none for me.

Maybe France with the likes of Victor Wembanyama, Rudy Gobert, and Evan Fournier had a shot if Embiid had committed to them, but he obviously didn’t. The reigning MVP opting to play for the U.S. has all but ended any chance of them not walking away with the gold medal.

If they do win, it’d be their fifth consecutive gold at the Olympics, which would be a phenomenal feat. It’s a long shot, but I wouldn’t put it past them getting close or breaking the record for the highest point difference in Olympics history of 350 that was set by the “Dream Team” in 1992.

The competition is obviously a lot stiffer, but this might just be the greatest collection of talent we have ever seen, with almost all of them in the primes or in the back end of their primes.
