Tiger Woods’ fast-growing mini-golf chain is expanding with another highly-anticipated location in Central Texas. PopStroke recently announced the opening date for its first putt putt course in Austin.

The newest PopStroke will open at 10 a.m. on September 11 at The Pitch, a former sports and entertainment complex in the Tech Ridge area. Over the summer, PopStroke renovated the space to offer an expanded version of its signature recreational activities.

In July, PopStroke said in a release that its debut will build on The Pitch’s foundation, while adding new entertainment features and experiences throughout the venue. PopStroke is keeping some elements of the sports complex in place like The Pitch’s original pickleball courts that locals enjoyed.

Plans for the northeast Austin PopStroke include two all-new, custom-designed 18-hole mini-golf courses and brand-new sand volleyball courts, event spaces and two conference rooms. Guests can also expect an enhanced dining experience, an e-sports gaming area and a full-service ice cream parlor. All activities will be available at daily rates, while PopStroke members will get an all-access pass to all sports and game amenities.

Originally developed by Karlin Real Estate through the Parmer Pond District, The Pitch was created to be “a vibrant hub for sports, dining, and community connection.” In January, The Pitch announced that it would be pausing its normal operations, writing on its Instagram that it would still host special events throughout the year, but “thrilled about what’s to come.”

PopStroke was founded in 2019 as a local mini-golf company in Florida, co-owned by Woods, former Wall Street executive Greg Bartoli and TaylorMade Golf Company. It has since expanded to 17 locations nationwide across Florida, Texas, Arizona, Alabama, Nevada and South Carolina.

PopStroke has been rapidly growing in Texas with current locations in San Antonio, College Station, Houston, Dallas and is building another in Cedar Park, a north Austin suburb, slated to open in February.
