Lily Collins’ Slim Figᴜre Shines in Burgᴜndy Dress at ‘To The Bоne’ Screening Alоngside Keanu Reeves: Opens Up Abоut Weight Lоss for Anоrexia Rоle

She courageously delved into her own battles with anorexia while stepping into the role of an eating disоrder sufferer for the new Netflix film “To The Bоne.”

Lily Collins appeared visibly slimmer as she promoted the movie at a special screening in Los Angeles, following her revelation that she safely shed weight with the guidance of a nutritionist for the role. This event occurred after Lily confessed that her changed appearance had surprised her friends and family, necessitating explanations that it was for her acting commitment.

The 28-year-old daughter of musician Phil Collins opted for a burgundy dress paired with high heels for the occasion, exuding British elegance. Her brunette locks were styled sleekly, pulled away from her face with a precise parting.

Joining her was co-star Keanu Reeves, who portrays the unorthodox doctor assigned to treat Lily’s character, Ellen, for her severe eating disоrder in the film.

Keanu, aged 52, looked smart in a suit jacket and trousers, elevating his plain black tee for the event

.

The recently released trailer depicts Ellen engaging in harmful behaviors such as calorie counting, food restriction, and excessive exercise.

Lily enlisted the help of a nutritionist to ensure a safe weight loss process for her portrayal of an anorexia sufferer. However, she was taken aback by the unexpectedly positive reactions to her slender frame, recounting an encounter where an acquaintance praised her appearance, unaware of the context of her weight loss.

Reflecting on the role during an appearance on The Today Show, Lily acknowledged the risƙ of revisiting her own traumatic experiences with an eating disоrder. However, she found it therapeutic to immerse herself in the character of Ellen, emphasizing the importance of shedding light on the taboo subject of eating disorders.

“This project came to me at a time when I was already discussing my experiences in my book ‘unfiltered,’” Lily explained. “It felt like the universe was urging me to address this issue both for my personal healing and to raise awareness.”

She viewed her own experiences as a valuable gift to inform her portrayal of the character, underscoring her commitment to destigmatizing discussions around eating disorders.
