Elon Musk mocks Meta after Instagram and Facebook crash

While Facebook and Instagram were down, billionaire Elon Musk posted a meme implying that his social network X worked better than the platforms managed by Meta.

At 11:12 p.m. on March 5, Mr. Musk posted on social network X the status line: “If you are reading this post, it is because our servers are still working.” Although Mr. Musk did not mention it directly, many people thought that the billionaire posted the post to mock Meta . 

40 minutes ago, a series of social networks managed by this company such as Facebook , Instagram, Messenger and Threads suddenly encountered errors and stopped operating globally.

In the midst of the incident, users turned to X or some other social networks like TikTok to grasp the situation before the press could report it.

Some Meta directors even use X to make announcements to users.

In the photo there is also a message from Mr. Andy Stone, head of communications at Meta: “We know people are having difficulty accessing Meta’s services. We are working to resolve the issue now.”

As of 10 a.m. on March 6, the post attracted more than 69 million views, 1 million likes, 149,000 reposts and 29,000 comments.

Most users expressed their agreement with Mr. Musk, responding with memes about the Meta incident.
